Dan Scherneck

History:

1957 Born in Pasadena, CA. The third of five boys, Dan was raised in Glendora, CA by his father and mother who owned and operated an industrial laundry business for 49 years.

1976 Dan married in 1976 and raised two sons in Yucaipa, CA.

1975-78 Served Electrical Apprenticeship in Covina, CA with Whitlock Electric. Whitlock was a small community service shop that provided service and construction for the local area residential, commercial and industrial markets. The shop's strengths were in industrial motor control serving local municipal water districts and other industrial concerns.

1976-77 Attended LA Trade Technical College for additional education on industrial motor control.

1978-80 Employed as an electrical superintendant for a local Inland Empire electrical contractor specializing in building ground-up large retail stores.

1980 Acquired C10 License - Electrical Contractor

1980 Founded Safeway Electric to serve the commercial and industrial communities of the Inland Empire.

1985 Attended Cal Poly Pomona - Construction Management Certificate Program

1993 Acquired ACO License - Alarm Company Operator

1993 Founded Progressive Systems - Low Voltage Systems Contractor to provide access control, CCTV, security and fire alarms to the area's commercial, industrial and public works markets.

1996 Acquired B License - General Building Contractor

1997 Incorporated as Dantim, Inc. with a partner

1997 Founded DND Construction

2001 Divested Partnership and regained sole ownership of Dantim, Inc.

2004 Changed name of Progressive Systems to Safeway Security Systems

2005 Became a Grandpa!

2005 Changed name of Dantim, Inc. to Safeway Building Services, Inc.

2006 Changed name of DND Construction to Safeway Construction
